Who we are
Billie my cheeky baby pup
Sunny my old heart dog
Hi, I'm Leilani, the proud owner of Blooming Grooms, a dog grooming salon located on the central Gold Coast in Bundall.
I've always had a strong love and connection to animals… especially dogs. Early in my career, I was a kennel hand, volunteering at the local animal shelter. The Animal Welfare League of Queensland broadened my knowledge of dog behaviour and gave me daily hands on experience. I would usually come home with a dog or two to foster until they were well enough to be adopted by their new family. Whilst working there, I was fortunate enough to be offered a secondment role through the City of Gold Coast as an Animal Management officer. It was eye opening to deal with some of heart breaking cases within the Gold Coast community.
My dog grooming journey began with my own two dogs. Being Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, they require a lot of grooming! I was determined to learn how to groom them myself, especially when we added our puppy Billie to our family. I searched for local dog grooming salons offering short courses in dog grooming. When I completed the short course, my love for dog grooming began. Naturally, I progressed to do further study to become a fully qualified dog groomer.
In 2024 I bought a mobile dog grooming van, servicing the local Gold Coast area’s where I quickly grew clientele. Grooming for me is an art and while I’m still learning everyday to become better, I don’t think we ever stop learning. Being able to use my creative passion whilst grooming has been a real joy to combine.
These days, I spend my spare time with my husband, our two daughters and our two dogs, Sunny & Billie. We love traveling to new places where we can take our dogs along with us and they love it too.
I look forward to meeting you & your pooch in the salon soon!

Meet the team
Lily
Hi Blooming Grooms family, my name is Lily. I love being a part of the team here at Blooming Grooms.
I have completed ACM30122 Certificate III in Animal Care Services - Pet Grooming. I developed many transferable skills throughout the theory and practical training. You can rest assured that your dog will be in capable, caring hands. I am excited to use my skills to help make your dog look and feel their best.
A bit about me…
I’m from Christchurch, New Zealand and moved to the Gold Coast in Feb 2024. On weekends, I'm usually out doing something active. I recently picked up a surfboard and fishing rod, so spend a lot of time at the beach. I enjoy running, hiking, scuba diving, hitting the gym, practicing yoga, reading, wake boarding, mountain biking, drawing and painting... I tend to collect hobbies.
Growing up, I was naturally drawn to animals. My passion for animals has now bloomed into a career that I find rewarding and fulfilling.
I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of the Blooming grooms community. Leilani has already established meaningful connections with her customers and I look forward to doing the same. I can’t wait to meet you all and of course.. your dogs!

Beth
Hi,
I’m Beth, I’m a trainee at Blooming Grooms who is passionate about learning the ins and outs of the industry.
I’ve always loved dogs, growing up with my family dogs, our two boxer’s Mia & Rocky! I have been absolutely loving dog grooming, caring for the dogs, giving them a bath and brush whilst making sure they have a great experience.
Just knowing I’ve had a part to play in helping them is so rewarding. I love seeing their happy smiles and waggy tails after they’ve been groomed, it makes me feel like I’ve given them love and care while at the salon.
Once I’ve completed my traineeship I am looking forward becoming a qualified dog groomer and also perhaps broadening my knowledge and skillset in dog behaviour and training.
See you in the salon with your beautiful pooches!
Beth :)
Heidi
Hey, I’m Heidi! I’ve been in the animal industry for over 11 years now, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I got my start volunteering at shelters and have fostered just about everything with fur (and the occasional hoof) — rats, guinea pigs, dogs, even goats! I’ve worked with the animals at Sea World and Paradise Country, and I’m also a qualified vet nurse. It’s been a wild ride full of muddy paws, nose boops, and a whole lot of heart.
When I’m not elbow-deep in dog hair or cuddling someone’s rescue pet, you’ll probably find me outdoors — freediving, hiking, beach walking, or off on a spontaneous adventure with my dogs in tow. Sunshine and wagging tails are my happy place.
Right now, I’m learning all things grooming from the incredible Leilani, and I’m absolutely loving it! Grooming lets me mix creativity with care, and there’s nothing better than seeing a freshly groomed pup strut out like they know they’re fabulous.
I’m so excited to be part of the Blooming Grooms family and can’t wait to meet all the fabulous pooches, and their lovely humans too!
See you in the salon!
Heidi
